Dear Sellbrite customers, followers, and friends,
Today, we’re beyond excited to share with you that Sellbrite has been acquired by GoDaddy, the leader in helping entrepreneurs and small businesses succeed online. As part of GoDaddy, Sellbrite will continue to support our existing customers and channel integrations, as well as the broader SMB market.
When Mike and I started Sellbrite 6 years ago, our goal was to enable small brands and retailers to find the success online that only larger businesses had been able to achieve, by building an affordable, easy-to-use multi-channel solution that added real value to their businesses. We’ve never wavered from our focus on small businesses and have always made our product and customer experience our #1 priority.
That commitment has made Sellbrite the top-rated multi-channel solution for small brands and retailers and has brought us to an exciting place in our company’s history, as we’ve recently crossed major customer milestones and are growing faster than ever before.
Moreover, our commitment to helping small businesses allowed us to cross paths with the team at GoDaddy, who we’ve always admired because of their focus on empowering entrepreneurs online. We partnered with GoDaddy a year ago to help power their Marketplaces offering, and our relationship has been amazing – and beneficial for customers.
During our first few months of customer rollout, Sellbrite + GoDaddy have enabled thousands of small business owners to connect their GoCentral Online Store to marketplaces and, on average, achieve a 115% increase in orders.
Why GoDaddy, and why now?
From our early days partnering with GoDaddy, it was very apparent that we share the same cultural values, vision, and obsessive drive to help small businesses succeed online, not only through our products but also through excellent support.
We are joining forces to expand our impact faster and more effectively and do more than we could accomplish on our own.
After launching our partnership with GoDaddy and working so well with their team, it became clear to both sides the incredible value we could jointly deliver. It was also very clear to us that
they were the right partner and that now was the right time.
This is really all about the people. Our team, who cares relentlessly for our customers, will be able to learn and grow in ways that our small company couldn’t offer, while the GoDaddy team
will help us build upon our strengths with their deep customer and product experience. All of us at Sellbrite are excited to join GoDaddy.
It’s truly a win-win for both parties, the kind of feel-good story that seems rare in our industry today.
What does this mean for customers?
As part of GoDaddy, Sellbrite will continue to support our existing customers and channel integrations, as well as the broader SMB market. We will continue to execute on our product roadmap, with some of the major features you’ve been waiting for to be released soon, making Sellbrite better than ever. Ensuring your business is not impacted in any way is our top priority during this transition.
What does this mean for partners?
Our integration and service partners have been instrumental in helping Sellbrite get to where it is today, and we plan to continue working together and supporting each other. As part of
GoDaddy, we will continue to invest in our partnership programs to build the most flexible, capable solutions for helping small businesses and entrepreneurs succeed online.
Partners, if you haven’t already heard from us regarding our future working relationship, you will soon. There’s a lot to be excited about.
Thank you!
From everyone here at Sellbrite, THANK YOU to all who’ve supported, cheered, advised, and befriended us over these last 6 years! Thank you to our investors, our partners, and our friends in the local Pasadena tech community. We quite simply could not have done this without all of you.
And of course, thank you to all the amazing small businesses that are our customers. You’re the reason we started this company, and you’re the reason we’re continuing on as part of GoDaddy.
It’s been an incredible experience serving you, and we’re excited to build a BRITE future together.
